Learning and feeling at ease in the WutecCenter
Hectronic and Dunkermotoren establish a joint training center.
The colours are the first thing that catches your eye. The many different hues exude positivity and ease. And then there is the open light layout which has a welcoming effect. The navy blue counter, which matches the blue wall and seating area, immediately attracts attention as soon as one steps into the foyer. The colours yellow, orange and turquoise are the dominating colour palette for the training rooms. It is indeed a colourful design but it doesn't feel garish at all.

The total plot is 6500 sqm. The building was previously owned by Studer, but had only little use by various companies over recent years. Hectronic and Dunkermotoren jointly developed a utilization concept and realised the idea as a team. "The cooperation was very harmonious and the same applies to the joint use of the building which has already started," states Eckhard Fechtig happily.
The refurbishment project went off without a hitch. Work started in the middle of February and the center warming party took place on the 8th of May. "It is fantastic that we found a joint solution which benefits two companies,” says Stefan Forster, Hectronic’s Managing Director, and Dunkermotoren boss Nikolaus Gräf happily agrees.
Training has been going on for a while now and it's going rather well. The four rooms are ideal for any use and for different group sizes. The relevant rooms hold up to 50, 40, 20 and 10 people which means that proper large scale events can take place in the new building. The kitchen and bar area offers the opportunity to provide in-house catering for training sessions. Otherwise, the external caterer is the BURG restaurant in Ewattingen.
The first training sessions already proved one thing: It was definitely the right strategy to establish the training center outside the company headquarters. "We deliberately wanted to create a space away from the business to enable focussed work during the training sessions," explains Eckhard Fechtig the companies' motives.
The WutecCenter has also already proven that modern conference rooms are also suitable for completely different uses. A nursery school in Ewattingen held, for example, a picture exhibition in the facility. Many visitors came to the WutecCenter last Sunday to admire the children's art. And they were also quite surprised about the building’s new look. "A perfect location for our event and a really lovely gesture by the two companies," praises Susanne Kech, head of the nursery school. Initial worries that there would be colourful traces of little hands on the walls or melted chocolate on the upholstered chairs were totally unfounded. “Everything was like new after the event," laughs a relieved Eckhard Fechtig.
