Solutions for the Swiss Post

A big step: Hectronic Switzerland AG has been commissioned by Post Company Cars AG to modernize fuel terminals, thus supporting the digitalization of the Swiss Post petrol stations.

By the end of 2024, the Swiss Post will offer the first completely cashless petrol station network in Switzerland. The digitalization push was initiated by Post Company Cars AG, the fleet service provider that operates the petrol station network for the Swiss Post. The aim is to make paying at petrol stations faster, easier and more digital. This requires a wide range of common cashless payment options.

At around 60 Post gas stations, the old fuel pumps are being replaced by the new Hectronic HecVision terminals. These terminals, in the typical Swiss Post yellow color, enable contactless payment with debit and credit cards, Mastercard, Postfinance Card and discount coupons.

The introduction of TWINT at the pumps is also new. Customers can either scan the QR code at the pump or pay directly with the TWINT app. This makes the refuelling process quick and uncomplicated – queues are a thing of the past.

In addition, the previous customer fuel card is digitized. With the new Post Tank app from Hectronic, users can select the gas station and fuel pump and authorize the refueling process. Of course, the classic fuel card can still be used.

This means that all user groups of the Post gas stations can authorize and pay for the refueling process without barriers – and without using cash.

Despite the large number of payment and authorization options, the complexity in the background is reduced to a minimum. All payment and authorization processes are centralized on our cloud-based management platform. This gives Post Company Cars a 24/7 overview of processes, transactions, and data and user management.

The HecVision terminals offer intuitive menu navigation that has been optimized through numerous usability tests.

With this innovation, Post Company Cars is one of the first in the market to use a completely cashless payment method and fully digitized processes – from the electronic fuel delivery note to the digital receipt.
