Coop, one of Switzerland’s largest retailers and wholesalers, recently opened its largest logistics centre in Schaffisheim. Any logistics centre of this type naturally needs a modern and intelligent fuelling station for Coop’s fleet of delivery trucks. Coop’s specifications in this regard were accordingly high. The primary task was the ability to fuel 300 vehicles with a specific mix ratio of bio and diesel fuels. This challenge was taken up by our sales partner Polytech. Together with Hectronic they implemented a control system that is unique in Switzerland. A range of components from Hectronic along with a custom-developed “mix regulator system” from Polytech was used to implement the project. The system uses the HecPoll management software which is provided with information about the mix ratios for each vehicle. Vehicle identification takes place automatically using PetroPoint. Overfill prevention is ensured by the Hecofill threshold value probe. This modern fuelling station was finally fitted out with two Heconomy automatic fuelling pumps, four multi-product islands and Optilevel tank capacity sensors.
